Ten More Days...

Well, I am still here and I am still heavy with child...and life is good. I just thought I should let you all know that there is only 10 more days until my due date--which is so exciting and so weird all at the same time! Billy and I lay in bed at night and just say, "Can you really believe that we are going to have a baby?!" It is the strangest feeling. Monday I went to the doctor and they measured and checked me. The baby is measuring a little bit small...but nothing to be worried about. (And believe me I would much rather push out a baby that was a little bit small!) The doctor said everything looks good. He said I was dilated to about a fingertip (I am sorry if that seems gross to say...deal with it.) I was hoping to be progressing more than that...but he said I was feeling soft. (Note quite as "green" as the week before. They say it is like a ripening peach. Lovely I know!) So I guess that things are moving along. I have a few little contractions here and there...but nothing huge. My family is in Lake Powell this week and so they are all glad that things are moving slowly. And to be honest so am I. Don't get me wrong...I would hate to see my due date come and go without this child, but I am okay with a few more days of prep time. People keep saying to me, "Oh I bet you are so uncomfortable and hot. You probably cannot wait to get that thing out." But guess what...I am not. I feel better now than I have my whole pregnancy. I mean sleeping is not quite as fun...but I am not throwing up...and I have been off my anti-nausea medication for a week and a half now! I must be crazy wanting to have this baby inside of me--but maybe--just maybe I am a little bit scared. I know everything will be fine...but I have to worry about everything and plan for the worst. Anyway...lots of babbling from the pregnant woman. Here are a few pictures of the house and other random happenings in the past week or so:

Billy's Brother Michael got home from his mission in Portugal. Doesn't he look great?! We held this sign proudly at the airport waiting for him and mom and dad to get off the plane.

Here he is straight off the escalator...and on the left is his sister amber...not just some random woman looking at him...I think she was first to steal a hug and rightfully so!

I just had to include this one for a good laugh! Look at how funny grandma's face is--ha! And here is Billy in his element...catching everything on the video camera. I think every picture of him from the airport has him holding up the camera...just wait until the baby comes! :) I love you Bill!

The house is coming along. Here is a picture of Me, Janelle, Hunter, Erin, and Bailey at our house almost 2 weeks ago. (Erin is up from Arizona with her kids and it has been so fun to see them!) I definitely have pregnant face in this one.

Well we will keep you posted on any new updates with the baby and delivery...but until then we are going to be spontaneous and enjoy life without a 20 pound diaper bag, stroller, carrier...and all of that other heavy stuff!

It is getting so close! Good luck! Don't worry about delivery too much! It really isn't that bad and the moment that little one gets laid in your arms is all worth it! Bri and I would still love to get together with you guys.

Yay! You're so close! And guess what---my sister MaryAnn had her baby girl this morning. ON HER DUE DATE. So there's hope. Seeing her sweet little girl get all cleaned up in the nursery made me so excited to be watching your little one through the glass too!! Oh, and if you want to be spontaneous and go do stuff before yu've got to worry about a babysitter, here are some ideas: 1) we went and played Rock Band on Evan & Kel's Wii the other day--SO SO FUN--we all need to do it. 2)Kelsey & Eva came over & watched the SYTYCD results show last week and then we played "Munchkins" and we all talked about how we missed playing with you guys 3)a little fishing (but mostly chatting) at Tibble Fork, 4) We keep getting these 2 for 1 deals at that golf course in Cedar Hills that's right at the mouth of the Canyon, but they're only good Mon-Wed nights, and 5) We really loved playing mini golf with you guys. Anytime you're up for it, we'd really love to play again.

Love you guys--glad you're finally feeling good enough to stop taking the medicine!

Congrats on your brother coming home from a successful mission!
and ok, ok, ok...just remember to breath slow, think happy soothing thoughts and that no matter what you do the baby will still come out.
You've got the right idea on enjoying getting in and out of the car without loads of luggage and child in tow...just Whit's belly...which speaking of, looks fab!
Keep us updated when you can! We love you and I can't wait to see a little billy/whitney mix...so cute. (sorry that sounded like you were having puppies)

You're SO CLOSE!!! Holy Crap! You look fabulous by the way. I was reading your blog and Sunny was sitting next to me and asked who you were and I explained and then she said "Oh, your dancing cousin!" ?!?! Not sure how she knew that...
